[SOCIAL] Hay Ride

Event Date: February 27, 2009

If you ever confused Deltasig's for city-slickers, you must have never been to our western Hay Ride. The Hay Ride is a Deltasig tradition that dates back to the beginnings of our chapter. Every semester the active membership and pledges enjoy a horsedrawn wagon ride into the serene Arizona desert for a laid back night around a blazing fire. Actives and pledges spend their time enjoying music, dancing, light refreshments, laughes and old stories as well as the ever popular lasso contest. The Hay Ride never fails in providing enough stories for a few weeks to come.

[FUNdraising] Costume Dodgeball Tournament

Event Date: February 24, 2009
Fundraising Chair: Caitlin Erickson

Deltasigs definately know how to put the "fun" in fundraising. The Costume Dodgeball Tournament not only provided the active member with a fun chance to display their creativity and athletic skill, but also raised a sizable amount of capital for use in our professional, community service and social programming. Delta Sigma Pi's dues are minimal and therefore fundraising efforts are required in order to support the impressive variety of programs the organization provides its members. However, we always find ways to raise the capital necessary in a way that is fun and effective.

The event was covered by CornkiteNewswatch, a small station based out of the ASU Journalism school. Watch the story below:
